AP139 - 40 bore flintlock brass pocket pistol

Large William or early Victoria pocket pistol although large enough to be an overcoat pistol at 9½” overall length. Brass lock and action boxlock circa 1820’s-1830’s, 5” round brass 40 bore (a little under ½”) barrel, border engraved action decorated with stands of arms and signed indistinctly, sliding trigger guard safety; the left hand side with a possibly Irish registration stamp: A765. Slab sided wood single piece grip. This pistol is much larger than the average boxlock pocket pistol and is doubly unusual in being brass rather than iron, all making it a bit more interesting than normal
