AP119 - Cased 120-Bore Percussion fluted cylinder Trigger cocking Six-Shot transitional type Revolver.

A mid-19th century cased 120-bore percussion revolver with fluted cylinder. Trigger cocking six-shot bar hammer transitional type Revolver. Blued octagonal sighted rifled 4” barrel engraved with foliate scrolls on the top flat at the breech, case-hardened and unusual fluted cylinder with recessed nipples, numbered from '1' to '6' and engraved around the forward edges, border engraved action and butt decorated with foliage scrollwork, engraved case-hardened bar-hammer with rectangular sighting slot, trigger-guard en suite with the action, ovoidal butt-cap with hinged circular butt-trap cover engraved with a flower-head, chequered rounded grips (minor old bruising), and retaining much of its original finish: in a possibly relined and refitted mahogany case with accessories including powder-flask with fluted bag-shaped body (possibly reproduction), the exterior of the lid with shaped vacant brass escutcheon, Birmingham proof marks
