A cast metal decorative archery mount for the Royal Kentish Bowmen and the surmounted by the crowned royal coat of arms, painted in gilt polychrome over cast metal. The Royal Kentish Bowmen were formed at Dartford in 1785 with 11 members, increasing to 30 in 1786 and 61 in 1787; with the granting of royal patronage in 1789, numbers rose to 123, with Viscounts, Dukes, Barons as well as number of Sirs and senior military men as members.
