10.4RF Vetterli Kadett Model 1870 Type ll. No.: 2941 (on bolt). Double Set trigger model. The Vetterli Kadett was made in very limited numbers only by S.I.G Neuhausen between 1870 and 1873, with two major patterns. I have never before seen a double set trigger Schutzen style Kadett – even the double set trigger Schutzen rifles (in the order of 10% of total) are few and far between but more commonly seen than this Kadett model. Plenty of Swiss inspection marks. Minor dings and scuffs to stock but sound – would clean-up very well if wanted. Metalwork good, colour and patina overall; barrels bands cleaned bright, trigger guard, bolt handle and striker housing. Bright, clean and sharp bore. Retains clearing rod, comes with sling.
